Pacific Defense Solutions, a division of IAI, is looking for a mid-level Systems Engineer to perform mission construction engineering in support the Systems Engineering CONOPS working group at the National Space Defense Center.  The candidate will support the Director of Operations in developing and managing all aspects of National Space Defense Center operational construct needs.  This includes, but is not limited to, development of: Joint Mission Essential Task (JMET) lists, Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), crew force progression requirements, and manpower assessments.  The candidate will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert in support of new system integration requirements, will determine and update JMET/DRRS baseline as required by new systems, and will forecast changes in NSDC resource requirements due to operational changes impacting baselines.  

 

**This position is located in Colorado Springs** 

 

Qualifications: 

  • A STEM Master’s Degree and 10+ years of space operations, acquisition, or lifecycle experience, or a STEM Bachelor’s Degree and 15+ years of space operations, acquisition, or lifecycle experience.

  • Solid oral presentation and writing skills are required.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment is required.

  • Experience with Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations is highly desired.

  • Experience with JMET, DRRS, and/or resourcing a plus.

  • No relocation expenses will be covered.

Security Requirements:Candidate must already possess and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.  Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.  In addition, applicants who accept a contingent offer of employment may be subject to government securityinvestigation(s) and must meet eligibility requirements for access to SCI classified information.
