Five9 is a leader in Cloud based Call Center solutions and one of the Bay Area's fastest growing companies. Five9 has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer. This position has overall responsibility for day-to-day network and server administration. This role supports the execution of maintenance plans, service level agreements, and implementation strategies and projects to address organizational initiatives. The Senior Systems Engineer will manage technical issues throughout all phases of the organizational project management methodology, focusing on the transition of projects from design to production. The ideal candidate needs to be a strong leader with excellent customer service skills, able to lead projects, develop processes and is detail oriented. Must possess the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and activities in a fast-paced, exciting environment.

This position is a hands-on role and needs first-hand experience in Windows server management, Active Directory, Exchange, and networking.

Responsibilities:

  • Server and Network Architecture
  • Design of topology for reliability, scalability and total cost of ownership
  • Vendor selection and management
  • Vendor contract and support renewal
  • Application integration support
  • Support regulatory control audits ensuring compliance (SOX, PCI, SOC2, ISO)
  • Lead and participate on cross functional teams for improvement projects
  • Serve as the technical principal responsible for solving the most complex problems
  • Develop policies, procedures, and controls to maintain security and integrity of the server environment (Configuration Standards)
  • Install, maintain, and monitor production servers in a highly available architecture
  • Lead monitoring and troubleshooting activities
  • Ensure Business Continuity processes and technology are in place, tested and validated
  • Server Administration
  • Perform administration and manage individuals responsible for administration of the production Windows Server environment of the following platforms:
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012 & 2016
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 & 2014
  • Microsoft File, Print, DHCP & DNS Administration
  • Microsoft Exchange 2010
  • Microsoft SharePoint 2010-2016
  • Linux CentOS, Apache, MySQL and PHP (LAMP) Support
  • Enterprise PKI Administration and Support
  • Powershell Scripting (Python also a plus)
  • Multi-Factor Login Infrastructure such as Duo, Yubikey or RSA
  • VMWare Cluster Management (Standard and Hyper-Converged Architecture)
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure such as Citrix or Microsoft RDP
  • Backup and Recovery Tools (Veeam, Barracuda, Simplivity Backup, Etc.)
  • CyberArk Vault, PSM, PAM and EPM Solutions
  • Security Incident and Event Management Systems (SIEM) such as LogRhythm or Splunk
  • Service Desk Administration
  • Management of 1000 pc's
  • Video Conferencing management
  • PBX and phone

Experience Required

  • 5+ years experience with Window Server and Exchange administration
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or Microsoft certification
  • VMWare certification preferred
  • ITIL Certification preferred
  • Experience with enterprise storage required
  • Flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Customer service oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Outstanding problem solving ability
