The Investment Book Of Record (IBOR) team is responsible for providing advanced investment data solutions to Investors and Clients. The team plays a critical role in our firm’s success by providing advanced investment data solutions which improve the efficiency, speed and quality of the highly complex investment decision-making process.

As a member of the IBOR team, this individual will be responsible for solutions delivery for Portfolio Management, Risk Management and Regulatory/Compliance business. This is an ideal opportunity for an IT professional to apply business and/or technical skills to enable investment process to become more efficient:

  • Lead delivery of high quality business solutions as well as quality assurance of business deliverables;
  • Interface and coordinate with the broad IBOR consumers teams to ensure successful delivery of new features;
  • Demonstrate strong project management and leadership skills with ability to handle multiple activities in a dynamic fast paced environment.
  • Interact with IT professionals at all levels of the organization as needed, to proactively identify opportunities for new/improved systems to improve the investment and portfolio services process.

Responsibilites

  • Lead delivery of high quality business solutions especially quality assurance of business deliverables.
  • Interface and coordinate with the broad Information Technology teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Demonstrate strong project management and leadership skills with ability to handle multiple activities in a dynamic fast paced environment.
  • Interact with IBOR consumer application teams at all levels of the organization as needed, to proactively identify opportunities for new/improved systems to improve the investment process.
  • Lead the implementation of business solutions in conjunction with the technical development.
  • Perform gap analysis between legacy and new IBOR systems and lead the overall data quality validation between legacy and new IBOR system.
  • Lead and establish effective processes for productive partnership with offshore technical teams.
  • Lead implementation of system process improvements involving (but not limited to) investment process efficiency, data quality improvements and simplifying the integration between IBOR and its upstream and downstream applications.

Qualifications

Technical Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in financial industry with strong understanding of cross asset products (Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives securities).
  • In-depth understanding of business workflows with Trading System, Accounting System, Portfolio Management systems and Compliance systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis and quality assurance for medium to large initiatives. Familiarity in formal requirements collection methodologies like UML is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience developing specifications, test plans and test executions.
  • Intermediate level expertise with SQL and Excel VBA.
  • Experience with, and demonstrated understanding of modern software development and testing methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree is a minimum. Advanced degree is preferred.
