IAI is seeking a Senior System Security Engineer to participate in design, development, deployment and implementation of hardware and software products in a multiple security levels architecture. The successful candidate will demonstrate a very strong knowledge base in system security engineering (SSE), Anti-Tamper (AT) Systems Engineering, Cryptographic technology, DoD technology transfer policies, Government directives and policies, and test and evaluation policies and processes.  Our client is stationed at the Patuxent Naval Air Station in Maryland, and this position will support the Defense and Intelligence Programs. 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of system security engineering experience with at least 5 of those years focusing on protective technology implementation on tactical platforms
  • Strong ability to derive and define AT requirements for systems to include export provisos
  • Strong ability to develop and document attack trees and identify potential risk mitigation strategies
  • Strong ability to develop technical briefings for presentation to other  Government entities such as the Tri-Service Committee, Red Teams, and the ATEA
  • Ability to develop detailed AT test plans and procedures for the Government AT Verification and Validation (V&V) team
  • Ability to evaluate or test proposed AT solutions to see if they meet the documented AT requirements
  • Ability to apply reverse engineering expertise to evaluate proposed AT solutions
  • Strong Knowledge and Experience in developing key management strategies and plans
  • Strong Knowledge of DoD/DoN policies and directives related to technology protection and technology transfer
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrably strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Attributes:

  • Candidate will have strongexperiencewith the following:
    • Knowledge and experience in conducting cryptographic analysis and implementation
    • Implementing information security and enterprise securityrisk management programs with strong security principles and best practices
    • Advanced technical knowledge of current securitytechnologies, protocols and standards
    • Broad technical background in aeronautics, electronics, system analysis, integrated systems architecture and operations analysis
    • Experience working with Government AT agencies

Must be able to:

  • Conduct SSE risk assessments to include attack tree analysis
  • Evaluate and identify potential system security requirements for technology transfer
  • Conduct SSE requirements analysis, documentation, and reviews for hardware, firmware and software
  • Support the integration of cybersecurity with protective technologies

Education:Bachelor's Degree with 10 years’ experience or Master’s Degree with 7 years’ of Experience or Doctorate with 5 years’ experience

Travel: 10% travel may be required                                                                                                                   

Security Requirements:  Active security clearance with DCID 6/4 eligibility
