This is an excellent career opportunity in a growing team to work with an expert global consulting company on challenging sustainability projects for large global clients. The ideal candidate will have advanced problem solving, communications, and client relations skills to produce high-quality client deliverables.   • Advise external clients; develop corporate sustainability and governance solutions
  • Lead and facilitate client engagements, workshops and meetings
  • Liaise with client lead/team and manage the day-to-day activity of the internal client service team and third-party service partners to develop and implement strategies and solutions on behalf of the client
  • Develop business opportunities in liaison with ERM Partners and colleagues
  • Assist in developing and implementing new sustainability services/products
  • Understand client's goals and concerns, including investor and other stakeholder pressures
  • Structure approaches to complex problems
  • Develop solid set of thorough recommendations
  • Write and edit sustainability reports and other client communications
  • Lead client meetings and workshops
  • Manage project to scope, address out of scope activities with clients
  • Effectively handle client teams and adapt to varied client styles
  • Structure and manage large teams well, redirect team as focus shifts
  • Coach and develop team members
  • Develop thought leadership pieces; speak at conferences
  • Proactively seek out and develop relationships with clients to maintain and expand business


  • Bachelor's degree required, with Master's degree in relevant field a plus. We consider a broad range of undergraduate majors and advanced degrees.
  • Enthusiasm, passion, energy and a desire to work in a dynamic team within an international consultancy. We are looking for candidates with strong business acumen, motivation and initiative to make things happen.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in international consultancy or private sector
  • Demonstrated project leadership skills
  • Ability to continuously innovate reporting, communication and service offerings
  • Experience managing teams and assisting in people development plans
  • Demonstrated external profile in areas of expertise (i.e., publications, conference presentations, involvement with international partnerships)
  • Strong track record of successful business development in previous roles
  • Passion for service and client delivery
  • High level proficiency in use of Microsoft Office programs—comfort with complicated Excel formulas, pivot tables, etc., plus ability to present information succinctly and visually in PowerPoint; sophisticated data analysis a plus.
  • Demonstrated interest in business consulting and environmental/social issues (through related coursework, previous employment, or personal endeavors).
