A Day in the Life
The Sr. Program Manager is accountable for Developing internal/external Sourcing best Practices, tools and templates then implementing them across our MDT businesses. The Primary goal is to Partner with Center-led groups such as Operational Excellence, Global Supply Chain, Transportation, Quality, etc. and key business leaders along with our Center Led Team (CLT) in Supply Management to ensure project/program strategies are fully aligned and destined for success. Finally, this leader must ensure key deliverables are met in a timely and accurate fashion by building strong partnerships across the program and within functional teams, and clearly communicating at all levels to illuminate opportunities and risks.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Project Management, Change Management, Technical Sourcing and Cost Analytics
•Represent relevant Supply Management CoE Strategies during cross functional and cross business, business reviews and planning sessions.
•Leverage Problem solving/Critical Thinking skills to ensure Program is well defined and meets the SMART criteria.
•Develop Program charters and align with executive sponsor and leadership in project deployment
•Lead Cross Functional, Pan MDT teams to plan and execute key Supplier Management programs to the COE Strategy and program deliverables.
•Assume full accountability to deliver the project on or under budget, on time, with the requisite elements of the established COE Program phases.
•Continuously monitor, identify, and manage Risks that could have impact to project execution and work with the Team to provide and execute mitigation actions.
•Maintain proactive and effective communications to all stakeholders inclusive of Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Manufacturing, team members, and Functional Leadership.
•Partner with Commodity Management leadership and Program leadership to ensure the project strategy is fully aligned in expectations and plans.
•Understand and align to current Sourcing Strategies during cross functional business reviews and planning sessions.
•Identify scope changes due to market developments during project execution and implement through change control processes.
•Actively manage critical path activities and resolution of schedule, resource, or functional conflicts which may impede project execution.
•Ability to manage multiple technologies and priority changes while consistently meeting customer needs
•Change Management: Lead development of Change Plans, Communication Plans, Stakeholder assessments and alignment strategies Organizational Readiness assessments, Training Plans and Material
•Maintain proactive and effective communications to all stakeholders inclusive of Supply Management Leadership Team, team members, and Functional Leadership.
•Total Cost of ownership, Cost Management
•Supplier Relationship Management
•Best practices in Sourcing, procure to pay, supplier relationship management
Must Have Minimum Qualifications (to be considered):
7 years with B.S. degree or 5 years with MS degree and with related experience in sourcing, project management, or product development.
