POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the role of the Supply Chain Analyst is to efficiently manage the flow of information and product through our Supply Chain to support our customers; while eliminating cost and maintaining/planning appropriate inventory levels.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain, analyze and monitor key customers demand and communicate needs through the internal and external supply chain to ensure consistent and timely delivery of product
  • Manage customer SKU offerings, changes and internal component changes. Includes inventory run-out and scrap analysis
  • Identify unfavorable trends in customer and internal inventory levels, customer service statistics and initiate actions to resolve root cause issues
  • Participate in the facilitation of forecast development per departmental standards, gathering market intelligence, trouble shooting, and performing regular maintenance and measurements with the overall goal of improving forecast accuracy
  • Analyze potential impact of forecast and production schedule changes on component procurement and production volume
  • Support new product launches through system setup, initial stock planning, and ensuring appropriate material flow and operational efficiency
  • Analyze system planning parameters and make appropriate adjustments to meet company’s customer care objectives
  • Create processes and methods to gather supply chain data
  • Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements
  • Monitor internal “key” performance metrics
  • Develop and implement supply chain continuous improvement initiatives and customer projects
  • Able to travel up to 10%+
  • Performs other related duties as needed and assigned

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, business, or related field; and 8-10 years supply chain, logistics or materials planning experience
  • Ability to effectively train and mentor
  • Experience in data mining, analysis and reporting
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Prior MRP experience (Manugistics)
  • Prior ASI & JDE experience
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing processes and C/I tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively with cross-functional business teams
  • Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with the plumbing industry and products
  • Prior Project Management experience
