The Supplier Quality Development (SQD) team works closely with Amway's suppliers to ensure all raw materials, components, and buy-outs, will meet regulatory and quality standards. Amway is known for its high-quality products, and this team's work, allows us to maintain that premier status in the marketplace. This team works with a vast number of suppliers, and a significant amount of spend, to deliver the highest quality of products for our ABO's. This team of eight supports Home Care, Personal Care, Beauty and Nutrition, partnering closely with procurement and suppliers to deliver superior quality products. You will be responsible for the product quality throughout the complete lifecycle, from the ideation phase to the discontinuation of a product. This is a cool role for a quality professional, who seeks exposures across a variety of product categories!

How you would contribute to the role:

This opportunity will offer broad exposures, working with a wide variety of internal partners and external vendors to qualify new suppliers, and to introduce a host of raw ingredients into our manufacturing environment. You will also work closely with cross functional teams to expedite quality processes that allow us to move quickly in the product development process. This role is heavily focused on risk mitigation, through audit and evaluation of existing suppliers, and oversight of issue resolution from root cause to corrective action with suppliers. What skills and background will be important to be successful:

  • Minimum six years' experience in a quality engineering environment
  • Lead auditor certification desirable, and or certifications with ASQ, HAACP, etc.
  • Quality Assurance and/or quality control background in both regulated and non-regulated environments
  • Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis, material control, OOS investigations, and CAPA
  • Experience with JDE, ETQ, CATSWEB, Starlims, and expertise with Excel
  • Background working with manufacturing operations and cross functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence
  • Able to travel domestically up to 25%
  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree required
