WSP USA has an immediate opening in our New Orleans office for a Senior Supervising Civil Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career working on a wide variety of transportation and infrastructure projects throughout the state of Louisiana, including major highways, local roads, site development, transit & rail, ports & marine, program management, and other transportation related projects.
As a key member of the project delivery team, this individual will actively contribute to the overall success of transportation infrastructure projects in the region including roadway and transit. The successful candidate will also be part of the larger WSP USA family, with opportunities to interact with transportation professionals across the United States and around the world.
The primary responsibilities include performing various management and design tasks on transportation infrastructure projects such as project management and technical oversight on projects including preliminary engineering, final PS&E design, scheduling, estimating, and a variety of other tasks and duties. The role will also include supporting the marketing and business development throughout Louisiana and other locations across WSP USA.

Job Requirements

    A minimum of fifteen years of experience in transportation engineering, including highway and/or rail projects.  (Public or private sector)
    Experience with AASHTO Standards
    LADOTD experience is a plus
    Experience in development of final design documents in CADD software including MicroStation.
    Familiarity with civil design software including Bentley design packages and Civil 3D.
    An excellent communicator
    Collaboration across regional and market sectors
    An active team player
    Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
    Ability to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and criteria using sound judgment
    Ability to independently analyze all technical aspects of the subject area and evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and criteria using sound judgment
    Louisiana PE
    Ability to work in this country immediately is required.
