Top Pharmaceutical Company in NJ seeks experienced Strategic Pricing Officer

POSITION SUMMARY

Develops analytical strategies to advise and guide pricing initiatives. Monitors product performance and refines approaches to revenue enhancement. Creates and further develops utilization of statistical modeling, algorithmic and quantitative decision-making to facilitate the business' growth. Provides leadership and guidance and data science and quantitativeprocesses.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct analyses to inform insights and decisions regarding key species business initiatives

  • Renew list prices considering price elasticities, supply and demand dynamics, and competitive environment
  • Define customer contracts shaping clauses to encourage business growth
  • Define discounting and promotions strategies to optimize customer engagement and net revenue
  • Understanding of key brands to inform annual strategic priorities by brand

Identify, define and test strategies to optimize pricing

  • Partner with relevant teams (marketing, sales, finance) and leverage guidance from NRM Business Partner of respective division verticals to refine and optimize opportunities
  • Support marketing teams with ad-hoc analyses
  • Provide input to define potential pilots and test to prove concept

Perform analyses to track, evaluate and report Net Revenue management performance

  • Report results in a standardized and actionable manner; identify improvement areas

Define, build and evolve analytics and tools to support key Pricing objectives and tasks

  • Understand goals and capabilities of internal customers and partners (marketing, finance, business analytics)

Enable and educate counterparts across organization in Pricing discipline

  • Identify areas of opportunity across the organization to improve pricing performance
  • Provide feedback to counterparts to increase rigor and compliance with pricing principles
  • Lead and collaborate with organizational partners on learning and development initiatives

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS.

  • Closely partners and receives guidance from Business Partner of respective Species vertical
  • Collaborates with species marketing teams
  • Interacts frequently with Finance, Business Analytics, Sales and Customer Experience teams


Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in finance, economics, math, engineering, computer science or equivalent is strongly preferred
  • 1–2 years of work experiencepreferred
  • Experience in pricing or financepreferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; able to manage and drive complex analytics, manipulation of large amounts of data
  • Strategic problem-solving and ability to drive creative solutions in a complex environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Advanced MS Excel
  • Proficiency with quantitativelanguages and tools including SQL (or another advanced programming language such as R, C++, etc.)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to synthesize actionable recommendations
  • Understanding of relevant accounting principles and their implications on Gross to Net calculations and reporting
  • Ability to simultaneously manage and pivot between multiple projects, pilots and tests
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams (e.g. finance, marketing)
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics tools such as Tableau

Salary

$92K - $115K
$80K - $100K base, Comprehensive Benefits bonus
