We are looking for passionate, skilled, and experienced software engineers to join Wherobots' dynamic team in building the geospatial cloud database of the future, its cloud platform, and control plane. You will play an instrumental role in designing and developing all the features and capabilities our customers need to unlock the value of Wherobots Cloud.
As a frontend software engineer, you will build and expand on the foundation of our web application, and own the design and development of new features and user experiences in our TypeScript/Next.js/React.js frontend. You will help define and build high-quality, reusable UI components, our frontend design system, and help maintain and improve our frontend application architecture.

Responsibilities- Design and implement delightful web experiences to bring the power of our geospatial cloud database and control plane to our users' fingertips
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, identify technical solutions, and deliver high-quality software
- Optimize performance and reliability of our web application through continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and improvement
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in frontend technologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes
Qualifications- Strong technical background, with a focus on building scalable, modular, and maintainable codebases for complex frontend applications
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React.js
- Solid understanding of web technologies and protocols, HTTP-based REST & GraphQL APIs
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively in a hybrid or distributed team environment
Compensation and benefitsWherobots offers competitive compensation, equity, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is $150k-$250k per year.
Although we aim to establish a primary engineering presence in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Seattle, we provide flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location, seniority, skills, and experience of the candidate.
