Role Summary: As the Senior Staff Engineer, Key responsibilities will include: Essential Responsibilities: Lead engineeringstrategic initiativesincluding:

  • Provide customer-focused engagement on product performance to improve our customer scores
  • Lead the adoption of tools to improve Problem Report management at all sites
  • Identify best practices for problem solving and work to implement with the Supply Chain and Engineering teams
  • Identify tool improvements used to collect actionable data during the manufacturing process
  • Work across business units to introduce most appropriate and common project management tools & processes to drive efficiencies and cost savings
  • Liaise between Engineering and Supply Chain tosupportsupplier selection during development
    • This includes streamlining / defining the process for flow down of requirements to suppliers
  • Support implementation of AS9145 methodologies and processes at global sites and in projects
  • Ensure robust product transition from Design to Production and continued airworthiness
  • Act as the team interface with the Avionics Digital League to drive cost reduction through analytics and tool standardization
  • Work with Tollgate owners to ensure product quality is embedded in the lifecycle
  • Integrate with the Failure Review Boards to drive key engineering actions necessary to drive root cause closure
  • Use data to identify issues during manufacture which can be resolved by improving engineering practices and process
  • Own preventive actions to manufacturing issues and work with the design boards to deliver long term solutions
  • Be the CEO representative on the Source Board and drive issues to closure
  • Focal point for communication with product line leadership and Quality & Engineering organizations Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience leading global initiative programs (Including Experience in leadership, manufacturing, new product launch and hardware design) Desired Characteristics:
