The ACLU of Kansas Senior Staff Attorney will tackle a vast array of issues including voting rights, criminal justice, First Amendment rights, immigrant rights, reproductive justice. In the last year, the ACLU of Kansas has brought cases challenging the suppression of student speech, race discrimination, and unconstitutional laws restricting access to voting. Many of our cases have nationwide impact and are covered in national media outlets across the country. The Senior Staff Attorney is the equivalent of a senior associate at a law firm. They will serve as lead counsel on a campaign/issue assigned by the Legal Director. They will manage complex litigation matters with the oversight and approval of the Legal Director and will first chair cases related to the campaign
