Lead cross functional efforts to develop and implement sourcing strategies including cost reduction initiatives, new product development, supply base optimization and rationalization, quality improvements, risk assessments, and contract negotiations.
Provide leadership for cross functional teams to develop best in class strategic sourcing strategies for assigned suppliers and/or commodities in support of business objectives.
Lead the development and implementation of supplier and/or commodity strategy which will include spend/supply assessments, consolidation strategy, sourcing selection, financial and sourcing analyses.
Lead, create, negotiate, monitor and enforce a contract strategy for suppliers.
Develop relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses. Represent the ‘voice of the supplier’ in the organization.
Provide leadership for new product launches; lead supplier selection, requests for quotes and insurance that suppliers are clear on product launch deliverables; collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful launch.
Assure cost standards are established for annual operating budgets.
Provide leadership for all strategic sourcing activities in assigned suppliers and/or commodities; obtain the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management.
8+ years’ experience in planning, purchasing, or supply management with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development or equivalent relevant work experience in manufacturing and/or project management.
2+ years of manufacturing management, manufacturing engineering, buying, production planning or product development experience. Prefer FDA-regulated/aerospace/automotive industries experience.
Demonstrated management, project management or other leadership experience.
