Position Summary:

Responsibilities include: developing shared services category strategies, participating in complex negotiations, leading change management efforts, and participating in cross-functional teams throughout the sourcing and vendor assessment processes.Specializes in multiple shared services categories, establishing objectives, and developing the strategies for short and long term sourcing plans and ongoing program management. Oversees the execution of Strategies as well as implementation and ongoing management of programs.This includes leading the development and execution of reporting and tracking mechanisms and driving cross-functional category teams.Participate in review, draft and negotiation of agreements, preparing contract summaries; work with members of the Legal department and other support groups such as Sourcing, Finance, HR, Risk and IT to ensure the timely completion of projects, minimizing risk and supporting optimal total cost of ownership objectives; analyze contract requirements, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with company risk guidelines. Examine opportunities for re-engineering and continuous improvement.Provide quality service in all areas of responsibility, ensure contract compliance and industry competitiveness.Utilize industry best practices to develop, implement and guide programs.

Essential Functions/Specific Duties:

  • Responsible for development, implementation and management of shared services programs and suppliers with a concentration in one or more of the following categories, including, but not limited to; statement print/fulfillment, mail room, marketing, print and direct mail, equipment and supplies, wireless, contingent labor, safety and security, mail room, facilities, travel, etc.

  • Utilize strategic sourcing and supplier performance management methodologies to oversee programs

  • Benchmark program costs and identify and implement cost saving opportunities

  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures, driving compliance to high levels

  • Develops and implements fulfillment processes, ongoing communication strategies, and maintains Intranet sites

  • Reports on spend, save and supplier performance

  • Conducts customer surveys and report results

  • Conducts ongoing training with suppliers and customers

  • Responsible for management and review of assigned shared category and contract requirements and accountable for supporting all areas of spend under contract with selected suppliers (up to ~ $100 million annual)

  • Supports integration of S2P strategy with other support area and business objectives by ensuring that legal and other support area inputs are considered in the development of department unit and supply chain strategies

  • Supports the contract negotiation process for company-wide spend and across assigned shared category areas (up to ~ $100 million annual)

  • Supports accomplishment of company third-party/supplier risk assessment processes including

    monitoring, control and mitigation

  • Effectively communicates contract requirements/market dynamics to department unit leaders ensuring alignment of shared category strategies

  • Leads and promotes change management as required to ensure success in S2P activities

  • Works with key business partners and senior leadership to understand strategic direction, supply requirements and business objectives and priorities. Drives thought leadership in the category providing market and industry intelligence, innovation and best practices including third-party risk assessment

  • Provides professional supplier contract review and recommendations

  • Develops supplier and fact-based negotiation strategies to manage key supplier relationships

  • Manages stakeholder and supplier engagement, effectively delegating activities and tasks to drive process to completion

  • Interacts with all levels of management, including senior management, within Ditech and suppliers to ensure strategic direction, operational and quality goals are achieved

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Leads/conducts contract review of commercial business terms and works with Law Department on legal

    terms; support contract negotiations

  • Ensures Ditech interests are protected with sound contract terms and conditions.Integrates S2P strategy with the business and other functional strategy for departments by ensuring that all relevant inputs are considered in the development of department unit and S2P strategies

  • Leads sourcing, complex negotiation/contracting process, and sourcing teams via matrix relationship

  • Delivers contracts effectively and efficiently while protecting Ditech’s interests.Effectively communicates market dynamics to department unit leaders ensuring alignment of category strategies

  • Supports supplier risk assessment, performance and relationship management requirements to establish and maintain collaborative, long-term relationships with strategic suppliers across all assigned categories

  • Supports delivery of substantial cost benefits and advantage measured in annual total cost reductions

  • Develops, communicates, presents and delivers reports to management

  • Ensures appropriate controls and compliance are consistently applied throughout the supplier life-cycle

Qualifications/Job Requirements:

  • BS/BA Degree and MBA degree in business, finance, supply chain or related field (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of MBA degree)

  • 7+ years of relevant contract /sourcing experience for large-scale operation; including management and development of team

  • Thorough knowledge of category and contracts development, negotiation and administration concepts and practices acquired through previous relevant experience preferably in a large-scale mortgage company

  • Demonstrated track record of success leading major strategic contract/sourcing and supplier management programs across a range of indirect/professional services categories

  • Solid contract management and sourcing experience, with proven experience managing cross-functional and/or global teams in a highly matrixed environment. Relevant knowledge and experience working with contract management and workflow tools

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, time management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiation skills with strong influencing and persuasive talents

  • Self-motivated, takes initiative and has the ability to effectively organize, multi-task and prioritize a wide array of initiatives. Has an aptitude for creativity and innovation
