Version: Oracle Solaris - Latest and previous two major versions.
Quals: 5 years of relevant Solaris System Administration (at least Solaris 10 or higher) - Provide kernel configuration and tuning. - Provide ZFS and UFS file system management and configuration. - Provide performance tuning, analysis and benchmarking. - Support in shell scripting tasks. - Support for the communications interfaces between servers and the communications infrastructure, including bonding, static routes, tcpwrappers and iptables/nftables. - Provide support of communication protocols used between IBM equipment, Linux systems, Hewlett-Packard systems, Web servers, various switches and routers, and the NIPRNET. - Provide support in the installation and configuration of cluster technologies. - Provide support in the installation and configuration of shared file systems - Provide Oracle support in configuring and managing Solaris servers to support large databases and applications, to include kernel parameters - Provide support of virtualization techniques, specifically logical domains, global and non-global zones. Maintenance and troubleshooting issues aligned with virtual technologies and the unique architectures involved in the virtual environments. - Support the following Cybersecurity tasks: - Security scans/remediation/compliance reporting - Vulnerability assessment/monitoring/reporting/tools - Incident response - Audit/inspection support - Directives/orders compliance - Access control - Provide the following Technical Administration tasks: - Install/configure/patch/upgrade assigned systems - System monitoring utilizing enterprise tools - Performance tuning/troubleshooting - Application support including application/web administration - Account management - Backup/recovery - Automation/scripting - Storage configuration (manage/allocate growth) - Monitoring (events, logs, system health) - Clustering
