Halfaker has an opening for Senior Software Engineer (Web Designer) to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Works as part of the multiple teams to design web applications in mobile and web application development
  • Create and enhance web-based user interfaces to provide intuitive, polished user experiences for the users of DHA web and mobile solutions
  • Create digital design assets that align with a consistent design standard
  • Rapidly translate concepts into intuitive web designs to provide

Required Skills

  • Must be able to use a variety of Web Design tools.
  • Creativity and an openness to learning new concepts and design styles quickly
  • Interest in collaborating with a team of designers that support multiple customers, with interdependent priorities
  • Pride in creating high quality, compelling design artifacts
  • Designer to humbly support customers and their needs
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with technical teams, program manager, and government customer
  • Knowledge of DoD Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices and procedures
  • Highly motivated and able to take initiative
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Secret Security Clearance Required
  • Experience with web design tools such as Adobe ColdFusion (preferred), Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Axure, and/or InVision
  • DoD Healthcare IT experience preferred
