What you'll do
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer professional in our Sunnyvale, CA office.
Duties: Design, develop, and modify software features for the Search Engine Optimization platform for Walmart.com to provide insights into various SEO opportunities and recommendations. Automate the Sitemap generation and deployment to production servers. Build SEO metrics such as Number Of Clicks, impression, number of errors, and response codes. Provide software engineering support to integrate with Catalog platform to help provide real time inventory and price updates for Grocery catalog items to Google and Bing bots. Design and develop software to integrate with taxonomy platform to help generate and manage SEO Canonical and Meta Data for all pages. Contribute to real time SEO services to provide Meta data for Item, Category, Browse, and Topic Pages on Walmart.com and Grocery.walmart.com.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.
Skills required: Experience with Java, Scala, and J2EE. Experience with Big Data Search Engines including Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, Spark, and Apache Kafka. Experience with Web Technologies including Angular JS, Spring MVC Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Data. Experience with Markup Languages including HTML and XML. Experience with Webservices Technologies including REST Services (JSON/XML) and XPATH. Experience with ORM technology including Hibernate. Experience with Tomcat. Experience with Databases including MySQL, Cassandra, and Elastic. Experience with IDEs including Eclipse and Netbeans. Experience with GIT. Experience with Build tools including Ant and Maven. Experience with Unit Test Tool including Junit and NUnit. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
