Job Description

Robert Bosch LLC seeks a Senior Software Engineer at its facility located at 15000 Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. The Senior Software Engineer will develop production software in C for automotive embedded control units. S/he will interface with OEM customers to determine software requirements and to ensure the quality of delivered products. S/he will design algorithms and implement re-usable C code for production automotive products. S/he will provide on-time delivery to the assigned project while meeting the requirements of the product development process. S/he will provide leadership in following established software development processes including software work product reviews. S/he will support review requirements for software work products including architecture, design and source code reviews. S/he will perform software qualification tests in support of V-model. S/he will support the complete product development process including Design Verification, Production Verification, and production launch activities e.g. End of Line Test. S/he will provide software leadership in issue investigations using industry best practice methods such as 8D, Fish-bone Diagrams, and Cause-Effect Tables. S/he will provide responses to customer change requests. 15% domestic and international travelrequired. REQS: Bachelor of Science degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, ElectricalEngineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field, plus 5 years of experience with embedded controls software development. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1) 5 years of experience writing low level embedded software in C; (2) 2 years of experience using CAN protocol including areas such as CAN arbitration, CAN frame format, bit timing, and CAN controller hardware;

(3) 3 years of experience solving product development issues using hardware tools such as an oscilloscope;

(4) 3 years of experience using MCU products and peripherals, and reading electrical schematics and IC data sheets;

(5) 5 years of experience using Integrated Development Environment (IDE) in order to debug embedded C software running on a development target, and finding root-cause of software issues;

(6) 5 years of experience performing qualification tests of software on the target to ensure quality. Apply below.
