Join our DCGS-A Engineering Sustainment team responsible for taking multiple software systems delivered by developers and vendors, and merging them into a functional system of systems.  In the integration team, we closely interface with multiple stakeholders in the development and fielding processes to ensure standards compliance with requirements and best practices.


As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work individually and as part of a team to develop software solutions in a multitude of different areas. Software engineers design, program, simulate and test software solutions and processes in order to complete exact tasks.  The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for design specifications and other detailed documentation of their creations.  Additional duties include:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand, plan, design and engineer software solutions to identified problems
  • Author and edit detailed technical documentation
  • Participate in configuration management and change management activities, supporting overall organizational goals and expectations to manage all systems, software, and documentation within a managed environment
  • Engineer solutions designed to increase the overall security posture of the system
  • Troubleshoot and provide resolution of problems reported against the system by testers and users
  • Test system and software performance throughout the entirety of the development cycle, and analyze results to report findings to stakeholders




Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree specifically in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or Technical discipline and 7 years of professional work experiencerequired
  • At least 2 year of experience in Angular or AngularJS based web stacks
  • At least 2 year of experience in Microsoft SharePoint2010 (or higher)
  • Experience with performance profiling of systems, applications and functions in terms of multiple metrics (e.g. memory, storage and CPU utilization, time)
  • Understanding of networking technologies
  • Must be self-starter, willing to take complete ownership of complex technical problems
  • Should be able to think clearly and articulate with appropriate level of abstraction his/her thought process on complex technological issues
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certified--baseline security certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+ CE) and technical computing environment training or certification (e.g. Server+)
  • Secret, TS/SCI eligibility is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize virtualization technologies (preferably VMware) in a development and testing environment.
