About the Role: You will participate at all levels of the stack in the creation of scalable, performant software that protects small-businesses at PB scale.  Day to day work includes coding as a Scrum team member, participating in software design and code reviews. We believe that engineers choose the best tools that work for them: some of our engineers use Mac OS X with Vim; some use Linux with Sublime.

Does your profile include:

  • Experience delivering production software
  • Strong working knowledge OO programming languages (e.g. PHP, Python, Java, C++, C#, etc.)
  • Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures and algorithms
  • Experience with front-end development ecosystem (e.g. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
  • Experience with relational database (e.g. MySQL)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enjoying learning and be self-motivated with the ability to switch contexts as the needs of the business change
  • Experience with version control software (e.g. Git, Subversion, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the MVC Design Pattern
  • Experience developing in a Linux environment
  • Experience with API development; RESTful, JSON-RPC, SOAP
  • Familiarity with development frameworks (Zend, Spring, Symfony, .NET)
  • Experience with developing software for commercially sold products
  • A B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
