Senior Software Engineer - Commerce and Enterprise Platform at LinkedIn in Sunnyvale, CA

The Commerce and Enterprise Platform team's goal is to accelerate LinkedIn business growth and create customer value by delivering new capabilities that scale LinkedIn’s products and allow our customers to purchase and utilize these products with ease. Commerce and Enterprise platform is powered by multiple highly scalable and reliable systems that support Ordering, Payments, Billing, Contract Management, Product Provisioning, Customer Identity and Product Administration. These systems are responsible for processing $8 billion of annual revenue from both online and field sales.

Responsibilities:

- You will build the next generation of billing and payment processing systems.

- You will provide self serve capability for managing customer contracts which range from simple online contracts to complicated field sales contract

- You will build an automated provisioning system for all combinations of products purchased by our customers both online and offline ensuring that customers have access to these products instantaneously.

- You will build a highly scalable, reliable and low latency Identity management system, used by our customers to manage identities and access of their users to the purchased products.

Basic Qualifications:

- BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience

- 2+ years experience in software design and development.

- 2+ years experience programming experience in Java, Python, or C/C++

Preferred Qualifications:

- BS and 5+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 4+ years of relevant work experience, or PhD and 2+ years of relevant work experience

- Experience building distributed, Internet-scale systems driving data solutions based on technologies such as Kafka, Samza or other open source technologies

- Thorough knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies.

- 2+ years industry experience in commerce domain
