Amazon Robotics develops state-of-the art robotics for Amazon's Fulfillment Centers. Amazon Fulfillment handles more individual items than any company in the world. Key job responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be directly involved in developing and deploying to production ready solutions to solve some of Amazon's most challenging material handling problems. You will be developing, debugging and robotics software back-end (message passing, performance, logging) and front-end (API, libraries) for motion planning and sensing systems on the world's most advanced robots. We desire robotics s/w development experience ranging from concept through build, test, debug, redesign, production and delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

- Expert level skills in C++

- Experience building robots or other hardware integrated systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

- Experience with robotic motion control systems and algorithms.

- Experience with robotic operating environments like ROS.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
