Position Summary: Join the Design business unit and help create products and services for designers on the new multi-physics simulation platform. Design, architect and maintain the
computer-aided engineering (CAE) physics functionality in current products and services. Work independently or with a manager to define, implement and deliver
new capabilities. Serve as a mentor to students and junior developers. Demonstrate a solid understanding of the code and the team's software development processes.
Research, design and contribute to an architecture to support a variety of physics and solvers into a single platform. Diagnose and fix code problems. Deliver code that
meets requirements on schedule. Ensure that code is efficient, scalable, maintainable, extensible, robust and easy to understand. Optimize code to improve tool run time
and memory usage. Create unit or system-level tests to thoroughly validate new features or changes. Communicate clearly and work closely with manager, technical leads
and other engineers to refine solutions and to describe changes that may affect others. Understand design patterns, test driven designs and demonstrate best practices
in software engineering. Act as a source of expertise for others in the project team.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, and three (3) years of experience in a related occupation.
Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer
and the Linux operating system; data structures, algorithms, system design, performance analysis, compiling and debugging; electromagnetic physics and simulation
using Maxwell equations.
