Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline plus 5 to 7 years of directly related experience or a Master¿s degree and 3 years of experience. Educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 10 years applicable work experience.
Must have prior experience with one or more of TerraSim TerraTools, VBS2/VBS3, Presagis Terra Vista and its Plug-ins, ESRI GIS tools, Presagis Creator, Game engines, firsthand experience with terrain database output compilers, and terrain processing.
Must have a firm understanding of the processes involved in full lifecycle software development.
Must have experience in developing software in a team environment; Agile-scrum experience is desired.
Experience with constructive, virtual or gaming simulation systems is desired.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Thorough knowledge of coding with Java and/or C/C++ with strong Object Oriented (OO) development
Microsoft Visual Studio development environment
Discipline to work in a CMMI Level III development environment
Ability to communicate highly complex software concepts effectively.
Strong knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures used in software and systems development.
Must be US citizen; no dual citizenship allowed.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a clearance; an active SECRET security clearance is preferred.

Responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, unit testing, debugging, integration, maintenance, and documentation of highly complex software applications in support of distinct projects for the Army's Synthetic Environment (SE) Core program. The SE Core program provides the common infrastructure definition and the SE artifacts necessary to enable simulations to participate in the Live, Virtual and Constructive Integrated Training Environment (LVC ITE). Highly qualified candidates will have experience with SE Core and/or SE Core confederate programs, SE runtime formats, and geospatial application experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Designs software, develops executable code, performs unit testing, and integrates software components to meet system requirements for the generation of constructive and virtual geospatial database products in support of large scale simulation efforts.
Implements cybersecurity into the design and development of all code as required.
Performs as a leading member of an Agile-scrum development team.
May also perform as a Scrum Master on specific efforts.
