Description Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is looking for a Senior Site Safety Specialist to work on the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) - Increment 1 (INC1) program. The Global Enterprise Network Modernization - OCONUS (GENM-O) is a critical mission provider responsible for keeping the Army connected through global network modernization projects. The Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) - Increment 1 (INC1) will unify the next generation of Army transport to comply with the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) divestiture mandate. A phased systematic approach is required to provide individual sites with standardized, updated technology systems to ensure the Army's Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is equipped to provide soldiers with cutting-edge technology to ensure applications, data, and enterprise services are accessible, trusted, and interoperable across the globe.
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.
Primary Responsibilities:- Leads the Environmental & Occupational Safety program for AGUN hardware, including installation and testing.
- Oversees the resources and processes related to ensuring the health and well-being of employees, safeguarding the environment, and maintaining compliance with relevant safety regulations. Involves developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs to mitigate potential hazards in the workplace and minimize the environmental impact of operations.
- Oversees the proper use, storage, and disposal of environmentally hazardous materials used or consumed by the AGUN program.
- Provides pre-implementation and coordination with the AAS contracting office representative (COR) and GENM-O TPOC to identify, analyze and control occupational hazards, ensuring worksite and/or product safety by applying knowledge of industrial processes, mechanics, psychology, physiology, and industrial health and safety laws.
- Advises on safety and installation requirements, approves protective equipment, redesigns controls to eliminate hazards, and develops standards.
- Reviews safety policies and ensures compliance with engineering principles, obtaining required permits.
- Implements on-site safety programs, oversees site cleanliness, and documents conditions before, during, and after installation and testing.
- Collaborates with maintenance and operations personnel to address safety discrepancies, following prescribed safety procedures.
- Assists Program Manager (PM) and Quality Manager with maintaining the Leidos Continual Innovation and Improvement (CI2) process and manages / collaborates with the environmental and site safety resources responsible for identifying, analyzing, and improving business processes across the organization.
- Ensures the execution and enforcement of the safety plan for the AGUN program including site installation and testing.
- Provides pre-implementation and coordination with the FEDSIM/AAS COR and GENM-O TPOC to identify, analyze and control occupational hazards and ensuring worksite and/or product safety by applying knowledge of industrial processes, mechanics, psychology, physiology, and industrial health and safety laws.
- Advises on safety and installation requirements, approves protective equipment, redesigns controls to eliminate hazards, and develops standards.
- Reviews safety policies and ensure compliance with engineering principles, obtaining required permits.
- Implements on-site safety programs, oversees site cleanliness, and documents conditions before, during, and after installation and testing.
- Collaborates with maintenance and operations personnel to address safety discrepancies, following prescribed safety procedures.
- Provides inputs to the Deployment Installation Board (DIB) and the Risk and Opportunity Management Board.
- Provides reports that inform the See IT Task Order (TO) Management Portal.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelors degree and 12+ years of related experience or a Masters and 10+ years of related experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated experience working within the Agile framework.
Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience working within Army's IT infrastructure.
- US Citizen with a Secret security clearance.

Pay Range: Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
