Senior technical leader who analyzes corporate needs and architects, designs, develops and implements web solutions which facilitate excellent communication and collaboration. Ensures that core ANTHC SharePoint systems and applications are stable and reliable.
Leads the overall enterprise-wide implementation of SharePoint. Provides technical leadership regarding the SharePoint infrastructure and the development of SharePoint applications. Creates and implements a long range plan for SharePoint. Assesses infrastructure to ensure adequacy of implemented solutions.
Is well versed in SharePoint administration, security configuration, and high availability design. Serves as
Support team members in IT in learning SharePoint, including developers, support and operations staff.
Build a network outside of ANTHC and ANMC to understand and incorporate industry best practices in our SharePoint approach.
The SharePoint Architect will serve as an agent of change, helping the members of our organization to successfully adopt SharePoint across the company. Partners with members of other departments to understand their needs for collaborative applications through SharePoint. Using the domain knowledge gained, implements SharePoint applications which foster improved productivity, communication and teamwork. Works effectively in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, and applies software engineering best practices to the development and implementation of SharePoint solutions.
Mentors others who develop SharePoint applications. Help them to be capable of independently creating effective SharePoint applications for functional teams. Provides training to SharePoint users across the consortium to ensure ease in using SharePoint. Builds an interdepartmental network of SharePoint power users, who are capable of sustaining local applications, and who serve as the first layer of support for SharePoint questions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of Microsoft Platforms.
Knowledge of planning, deployment, and configuration of Microsoft SharePoint.
Knowledge of deploying SharePoint into a large number of users for intranet portal collaboration scenarios.
Knowledge of upgrading SharePoint and the migration of SharePoint content.
Knowledge of all features of SharePoint including document management and records management across multiple versions and able to communicate the benefits of those features to business decision makers.
Knowledge of customization options of the SharePoint platform and when each is appropriate.
In depth knowledge of and experience in SharePoint.
Skill in designing and implementing a medium-large company’s information architecture.
Skill in leadership and mentoring.
Skill in communicating: spoken and written.
Skill in structured development methodologies.
Skill in software development.
MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
MINIMUM EDUCATION PREFERRED
A Master’s Degree in Computer Science.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Non-supervisory – One (3) years professional work experience as a developer for Microsoft platforms. Previous experience in successfully rolling out SharePoint for a mid to large sized organization.
Supervisory – One (1) year of experience in leading software engineering teams.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION
Microsoft development certification is desired. Certification in SharePoint is strongly preferred.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
