For SD WAN, this means growing our current SD WAN product suite to ensure we are addressing the broadest market possible, and continuously assessing our current platforms and improving them to meet the increasing demands of the market. As a Sr. Product Manager for SD WAN, you will strive to create continuous improvement on our existing product lines, creating differentiation that will provide our sales teams with compelling value propositions to share with our customers. You will be accountable for the P&L of the portfolio, and for the effective service delivery and support of the product line. Additionally, you will maintain the pulse of the market both directly with customers and through our sales and technical sales teams while providing feedback to the Service Development group to ensure we are able to adapt our service offerings to the latest market needs. You will do so with a clear eye to customer experience, ensuring that our existing and future customers are likely to recommend TELUS to future customers.


Here's how

  • Leverage command of mid-market and network knowledge to ensure the in-market product aligns to customer needs
  • Establish industry benchmarks for each step in the product experience (Sales Cycle, Contract Cycle, Fulfilement, Assurance and Billing) to ensure our customer experience is exceeding expectations
  • Understand the competitive landscape of SD WAN, anticipate competitive actions and response, and successfully develop plans to address
  • Support our stakeholder teams onboard customers (from sales to implementation) through the introduction phase on new product development, leveraging customer and channel interactions to validate product definition and process
  • Ensure that marketing collateral and sales training is optimized to successfully position new capabilities to our customers
  • Engage third-party industry experts to ensure alignment of product strategy to global trends
  • Provide product, process and market-positioning training to stakeholder teams to ensure expertise is quickly grown across TELUS

  • Demonstrate influence and strategy skills; planning, variance reporting; root cause analysis-Advanced
  • Proven ability to make strategic recommendations on gap closure initiatives, secure alignment and budget-Advanced
  • Confidently present ideas to senior leaders (VP and above)-Advanced
  • Proven Risk management and conflict resolution skills-Advanced
  • Program management expertise-Advanced

Great-to-haves

  • University Degree (Required) 7-10 years of equivalent experience
  • Master's Degree (Preferred) or 10+ years of equivalent experience
  • Either Technical Sales experience, understanding and positioning technology to customers
  • Progressive experience in marketing and business management positions: Telecom/industry experience and exposure to a variety of marketing roles would be beneficial
