Senior Security Engineer at McKinsey & Company in Waltham, MA

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in technology or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• 5-8 years of security engineering experience
• Familiarity with MITRE ATTACK framework
• Azure security engineer (AZ-500) is a plus
• Experience with data loss prevention tool management and prevention including change management for allowing and blocking
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate, configure and maintain new and existing security solutions to minimize their risk and maximize their value
• Experience guiding and overseeing SIEM monitoring strategy including coordination with internal and external teams about SIEM tuning and improvements
• Experience proactively spotting and escalating security issues
• 
  
• Ability to travel quarterly to Washington, DC office for end user/team integration (Post Covid-19)
• US citizenship

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will be based in our Waltham ofiice as part of our Technology & Digital function. This team manages and supports a cloud environment for certain high-risk data and client engagements. You will work closely with various technology teams across Technology & Digital, as well as 3rd party IT vendors.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will be a key member of the team responsible for ongoing support, design and information security of this cloud environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating this environment’s cybersecurity program. This includes designing and implementing new technology components, conducting system maintenance and administration of core infrastructure and performing continuous monitoring. You will be responsible for gathering user requirements and lead the development and integration of these requirements into the environment ensuring overall environment compliance.

You will also have the opportunity to gain new skills on a brand new technology solution at the firm, while building on existing strengths.

This role requires the ability to obtain a certain level of security clearance mandated by the relevant U.S. government branch or agency.
