About This Role

The Analytical Sciences team is responsible for developing methods to ensure quality of our products and measure performance at a molecular level. We are seeking a creative and resourceful Senior Scientist who will work collaboratively with other members of the various Research & Development teams to isolate, characterize, and identify compounds of interest from plant and microbial biomass.

What You’ll Do

• Lead projects focused on developing methods to characterize and quantify molecules from complex mixtures
• Develop new extraction and/or sample preparation methods to streamline analytical characterization
• Troubleshoot instrument and/or method issues to ensure accurate and timely data collection
• Interpret and present research data and results
• Support the ongoing research efforts of the various Research & Development teams by providing analytical support and analysis

What You Bring

• A Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with a focus in Liquid Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, and Mass Spectrometry
• A minimum of 5 years of research experience is required
• Experience with a broad range of sample preparation methods including liquid extractions, solid phase extractions, and solid phase microextractions
• A proven track record of research excellence, as demonstrated by an extensive publication and presentation record
• A commitment to workplace and laboratory safety
• A demonstrated commitment to learning and mentorship
• Passion for problem-solving and developing others; excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills; and the proven capability to make timely and sound decisions
