Summary:

Super Micro Computers, Inc. is looking for an experienced Senior Sales Manager who can help grow our market share in targeted territories, especially in California and the East Coast. The ideal candidate must have existing rolodex of Fortune 500 contacts and will be able to step in and successfully sell Supermicro’s product portfolio into targeted vertical markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market research and design sales strategies for each market segment
  • Build pipelines and achieve quotas within required time periods
  • Provide prompt support to customers in product selection, system configuration, compliance, product lifecycle management, and other key areas in product development
  • Provide excellent customer support to customers in fulfillment including forecast, inventory control, allocations and ETA backlog management
  • Resolve issues and achieve goals by working closely with all departments such as engineering, support, accounting, and logistics
  • Successfully manage relationships with customers. Visit customers and help them identify opportunities and improve sales and marketing strategies in selling Supermicro products
  • Negotiate pricing, facilitate credit, and manage disputes for customers
  • Produce forecasts and reports on a regular basis
  • May need to work from a home office and communicate with the headquarters

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree; technical degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience om the IT industry
  • Must have sold server, storage, or related software solutions to customers in the Cloud, Enterprise, or Embedded markets
  • Experience dealing with C level executives and large data centers preferred
  • Deep knowledge in server, storage and management. Knowledge in Cloud data centers and the enterprise IT environment
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills in challenging environment
  • Great leadership and strong ability of working with and managing people
  • Strong communications skills across multiple disciplines, cultures, and geographies
  • Great analytic skills in market and industry research
