Senior Sales Executive, RRD Marketing Solutions

The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for selling marketing solutions to new and existing accounts which may include but is not limited to creative services, content creation, photography and video, and supporting cloud-based asset and marketing management tools. You will be responsible for developing and implementing business and account plans for attaining or exceeding your assigned quota. The selling process may involve multiple service offerings that are delivered across our global network of creative studios and operations.  

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Prospecting, proposing, and winning new business in targeted organizations and verticals
  • Develop business plans for accounts to meet or exceed sales objectives
  • Retain and grow revenue and account share
  • Partner with other RR Donnelley teams/divisions to expand our services within their respective clients and prospects
  • Manage pipeline through Salesforce.com
  • Identify client needs across all channels and introduce client to new products that match business needs
  • Develop customer relationships in order to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, retain existing revenue, and obtain additional business
  • Understand the markets in which RRD and its customers compete and the associated market conditions
  • Assess competitor's strategy and neutralize with a competitive counter strategy

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in consultative sales process ideally in creative/agency sales, digital media, content creation, or SaaS
  • Familiar with markets in which DSG and its customers compete and the factors that affect a client’s profitability
  • Strong existing relationships and contacts with top marketers a plus
  • Ability to listen to client needs, identify opportunities, and help translate into DSG solution offering
  • High degree of creativity, self-management, and drive
  • Eagerness to work in a entrepreneurial environment that is constantly changing
  • Possess superb organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Relentless in performing and leveraging in-depth, targeted, research into industry best practices and market trends

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of quota carrying proven sales experience ideally in creative/agency sales and content creation
  • Track record of over achieving quota
  • Experience closing complex sales cycles in a consultative manner
  • Self-driven with an entrepreneurial edge, and have experience working on both small and large accounts
  • Possess a confident personality suitable for handling cold calls and account management.  
  • Excellent presentation, organization, verbal and written communication skills are mandatory
  • Candidates are expected to be able to converse fluently at all contact levels within an organization (from Junior to C-level)
  • Candidates must possess and subscribe to high work and business ethics, and be extremely self motivated
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing trends, pricing and competitive programs is a must
  • Relentless in performing and leveraging in-depth, targeted, research into industry best practices and market trends
  • Understanding of consumer uses of communications technologies - including cloud, social, web presentation, smart devices, and electronic delivery of content
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
