SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the direction of the R&D Manager, this individual will have primary responsibility to lead and drive Sustaining Engineering projects and New Product Development activities relating to catheter development of medical device products and associated disposable devices as part of the prevention of CKD. In this effort, this individual will work with cross-functional project teams including members from various groups within the organization and may also involve outside vendors.
Essential duties and responsibilities will include the following:• Lead cross-functional project teams to implement next generation design improvements and/or establish root cause of design-related issues and implement solutions. • Represent R&D on design and process changes initiated from the manufacturing plants to revise product, materials, components, assemblies, processes, or documentation specifications to achieve cost savings or address issues internally or at external vendors.• Work closely with Operations and Quality to ensure design specifications are being met with existing products and new product transfers.• Conduct Voice of Customer investigations for potential New Product Development efforts. • Address design-related customer questions/concerns as necessary, as prompted by Marketing/Sales or QA.• Manage outside contractors and consultants to help complete assigned projects. • Work independently and in a team setting to plan and schedule activities necessary to produce results and meet timelines.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's Degree Required
BS degree, or higher, in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or similar discipline.- Ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience developing, transferring, and/or supporting electro-mechanical medical systems and/or disposable medical devices.- Experience in DOE, statistical techniques, and ideally with Minitab.- Excellent verbal and written communication.- Ability to travel globally (approx. 10 % travel).- Preferred but not required: • Project Managementexperience• Operations (AME, ME, and/or QE) experience• Solidworks software experience• MSdegree or higher is a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS:- Mansfield, MA - Office Based- Approximately 10% travel is anticipated (including global travel)
