Senior QA Analyst at New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities

• Create, execute, and manage all activities of an end-to-end test plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that solutions work as expected
• Produce well written test plans and summaries
• Perform and maintain automated functional and regression testing on all internally developed applications to certify them for production implementation
• Review business and functional requirements in order to produce a release management and test strategy
• Contribute to and review technical specifications relating to the APIs, including documents used by customers for purposes of integration and testing
• Efficient analysis and responsiveness to client technical inquiries on API integration and, when necessary, production incidents
• Effectively manage time spent on client support tickets
• Use good judgment when there is a need to escalate issues to more senior members of the team
• Create defect tickets, when needed, as a result of customer issues
• Communicate status of customer defects to client and coordinates any client defect fix verification testing
• Contribute to development of internal API monitoring and support tools, utilizing scripting where necessary

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree
• 5+ years of experience in reviewing product requirements and design, creating test plans, and testing software applications
• 3+ years of experience and demonstrated mastery in FIX protocol
• 3+ years of experience in automation testing
• Must have outstanding organizational skills and demonstrate experience handling multiple project deliverables with success
• Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate command in prioritization and reporting project status
• Must have basic understanding of SQL
• Must have basic understanding of at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.)
• Knowledge of SQA and SDLC methodologies and practices
• Experience with electronic trading client connectivity, Market Data Feeds, and VeriFIX a plus
• Strong background in functional testing with the ability to design and develop comprehensive automated test strategies and test cases
• Ability to work in highly demanding, fast paced environment
• Must be knowledgeable with Windows OS platforms and Office applications
• Self-motivated, able to work and excel autonomously on job responsibilities
• Desire to define and execute new, repeatable business processes
