What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Create cohesive project plans with an identifiable critical path, task dependencies, risk and issue mitigation processes and major milestones
  • Manage the approved plans and schedules, ensuring successful completion within scope, budget, time and quality parameters
  • Provide project leadership in the execution of projects to both internal departments and external clients; direct the project team and communicate project requirements to both internal and external organizations
  • Act as a liaison for functional groups within XPO, clients and suppliers during implementations or program changes; ensure clear lines of communication among all teams
  • Apply comprehensive technical knowledge and management experience to analyze and resolve complex work problems; design and implement solutions as needed
  • Understand the interactions between warehouse management systems (WMS) and other types of traditional and innovative technology (automation)
  • Build strong relationships with senior leadership through effective communication and collaboration to support company goals
  • Develop presentations to demonstrate solution components and value proposition to customers

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 8 years of experience in a distribution center environment, supply chain management or a related field
  • Experience leading large-scale, multisite and/or multiregional transformational supply chain projects

It’d be great if you also have:

  • PMP Certification
  • Operations and/or engineering experience in addition to project management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective, reciprocal work relationships both internally and externally
  • Availability to travel up 75% of the time
