ATCS is looking for Construction/Engineering Professionals with Transit & Rail Construction experience to work in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia area.

Senior Project Manager

The position is a highly responsible, managerial and supervisory role to support a major construction program. The successful candidate will be a proven Senior Project Manager with experience making presentations to the board of directors and the news media, in addition to coordinating with client 's engineering, operations, procurement, legal counsel, etc. to set up all meetings and be completely responsible for the assigned construction program.


Major responsibilities include:

  • Program Management and Coordination – Budget, Schedule, Risk & Risk Mitigation Strategies
  • Reporting – Provide presentations and monthly reports to executive management team
  • Development of Project Management Plan in accordance with FTA guidelines
  • Development of contract packages for design and construction
  • Stakeholder Coordination and Project Meetings
  • Quality Program Compliance – ensure all work complies with client, consultant and contractor quality plans.
  • Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, business or related field.
  • At least 20 years demonstrable experience in managing large projects, and a proven ability to manage complex budgets and schedules.
  • Significant experience with transit operations and facilities and familiarity with working in a government environment.
  • Ability to pass a government background check.

Preferred qualifications:

  • PE license preferred, experience and certifications will be considered.
  • Management experience in Design/Build and CM at Risk contracts.
