Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple ongoing projects/contractors in the capacity of the owner through various stages of FEED and Detail Engineering; Manage the delivery of a portfolio of projects valued from $8MM to $500 MM.
  • The Senior PM will be a vital position in the organization reporting directly to our Senior VP of Engineering/Projects and This position could potentially be upgraded in the future to the Director of Project Management overseeing and directing Project engineers/Managers.
  • Responsible for overseeing the EPC contractors on various on-going and future projects. The Sr. PM
  • Verify that the contractor project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the benefits defined in the business case.
  • Manage the CAPEX budget and report periodically upper management on project performance
  • Set and continually manage project and program expectation while delegating and managing deliverables with team member and stakeholders
  • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, key stakeholders
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project and program team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas
  • Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project and program life cycle
  • Ability to effectively discuss with discipline engineers on multiple technical fronts including process, civil/structural, I&I|E, Rotating Equipment, Vessels etc.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
  • Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results
  • Familiarity with Scheduling software: MS Project, Primavera
  • Ability to negotiate vendor/contractor contracts (Commercial, Technical, Term and Conditions
  • Having disciplined approach to develop accurate estimates for TIC utilizing Front End Loading (FEL) Gate process from FEL 1 through AFE (FID) approval
  • Experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget close
  • Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
  • Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management
  • Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executive's sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers
  • Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff
  • Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft Projects, Primavera, Hysis
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies
  • Support diverse and inclusive work environment
  • Establish practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple Contractors as the Owner's representative

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's degree preferred
  • PE license and PMP certification
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience in a full life cycle Project from FEED to Start-Up and Commission a plant
  • At least 5 years' experience of managing an EPC contractor in an owner's role
  • Experience working as a PM within an EPC contractor is a plus and understanding the sequence of workflow covering detail engineering to construction
  • Ability to review and comment on various discipline engineering deliverable
  • Experience in various commercial type contracts (Fixed Cost (LS), T&M, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Change Management and negotiation experience with vendor/supplier/contractors
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability
  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities.
  • Proven ability to work in a high-pressure schedule driven environment while managing cost and schedule of multiple projects in various stages
  • Experience in managing each phase of the EPC project including engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction
  • Travel: up to 30% (Visit in EPC contractor house)
