Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Providing program, project and construction management services on a (DSA) Higher Education / Community College program / project
· Ensures operations are executed in accordance with company project management procedures and policies
· Participates in preparation and negotiation of owner contracts and ensures delivery and adherence to contractual requirements and that all aspects of owner contracts are accomplished
· Manage the procurement phase and development of RFQs and RFPs
· Oversight of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure relation and compliance to project requirements
· Coordinate, direct, and monitor activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities
· Manage project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the client
· Identifies and manages risk on the project, and advises and confers with regional executive prior to implementing risk mitigation actions
· Actively participates on internal teams that focus on continuous improvement of the company
· Ensures workplace health and safety policies and procedures are clearly communicated and understood by direct reports and enforces rules fairly and uniformly
· Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline is required
· 10 years of experience as a Project or Construction Manager overseeing direct reports is required
· Experience in the Education/Division of State Architect (DSA) market is required
· LEED Professional Accreditation and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)/Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) is strongly preferred
· Well-versed in all delivery methods from traditional Design-bid-build, , Design-build, CM multi-prime, and integrated project delivery methods is needed
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Knowledge of architecture, engineering and construction management industry including current conditions and industry network is required
· Effective presentation skills, ability to develop and deliver presentations to the end users, stakeholders, board of education as required
· Proficient use of the MS Suite of tools is required and knowledge of industry tools such as Primavera/P6, Prolog, and Sure Track software is strongly preferred
· Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the advanced ability to foster and maintain effective interpersonal relationships is required
· Provide leadership and financial management support to the project team is required
