Work Shifts8:00 A.M - 4:00 P.MJob DescriptionPurpose:Under supervision of the Sr. Associate Director, oversees the design/programming, planning, scheduling, construction management, procurement and installation, equipment planning and move coordination for capital projects at South Brooklyn Health. Effectively leads multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement capital projects throughout the facility.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Under the direction of the Sr. Associate Director, The Project Manager, Capital is charged with and responsible for:
- Implementation and roll-out of capital infrastructure projects throughout South Brooklyn Health, including:
- Establish project budgets and schedules based on identified scope
- Prepare RFI and manage the award process
- Oversee design and construction activities and proactively mitigate challenges
- Manage design and construction timelines to ensure on-time and on-budget deliverables while managing scope creep
- Manage relationships with vendors to ensure accountability
- Ensure a smooth transition process including punch list, closeout, staff/patient move (if applicable) and occupy and evaluate phase
- Prepare project close-out documents including financial reporting and operational documents and manuals
- Serve as the liaison to facility and departmental leadership to escalate project challenges and develop resolution plans.
- Partner with department heads to review operating activities, identify and document project needs and create project scope documents
- Serves as the liaison between finance, facilities, departments and operations, making recommendations to improve efficiency with regards to workflow and/ or structure
- Serves as a business resource to clinical departments to review financial needs, evaluate efficiency and implement improvements on behalf of executive leadership
- Perform all duties in alignment with the mission, vision, values, and behavioral expectations of NYC Health + Hospitals
Minimum Qualifications1. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration,
Healthcare Management, Engineering, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences or related discipline; and
2. Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in project and program management, execution, and
implementation, three (3) years of which must have been in the administration, management and/or
execution of projects and programs of various complexities, including work in health care program planning,
research, design or related area; or
3. Certification in Project Management (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Program
Management Professional (PgMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)) and four (4) years
of experience as described in #2 above, two (2) years of which must have been in the administration,
management and/or execution of projects and programs of various complexities, including work in health
care program planning, research, design or related area.
