ASSYST is seeking a
Senior Project Manager to lead two important cloud migration projects: migration of the entire footprint of our client's record management system
(OnBase) to
Azure IaaS; and migration of Line of Business applications to
Azure PaaS, in Arlington, VA.
OnBase cloud migration is an enterprise-wide initiative to migrate 40+ on-prem servers to
Azure cloud to improve scalability, availability, and security. Line of business is an application portfolio, including internal and external facing applications.
Job Location: Arlington, VA
(Hybrid) Responsibilities: - Develop project charter and project plan.
- Ensure delivery of project scope on time and within budget while meeting or exceeding quality standards and stakeholder expectations; accountable for plans and teamwork assignments, directing work efforts, reviewing integrated project plans, escalating and communicating resource needs, ensuring completion of quality reviews, and driving the resolution of issues as appropriate.
- Remove any barriers that might prevent achievement of project business goals.
- Measure and track project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for a flawless execution of projects.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Develop a communication plan and coordinate communication activities.
- Track issue to resolution.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Facilitate meeting, prepare agenda and meeting minutes.
- Provide weekly status reports, escalate issues to management as needed.
Requirements: - Current PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and on-hands familiarity with current PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK V5).
- Experience in managing cloud migration and or DevOps projects.
- Experience with ITIL v3 framework and continuous improvement process.
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including elected officials, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management and head of departments.
- Ability to drive projects using different implementation methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile and/or SCRUM.
- Ability for providing high quality collaborative documents such as: meeting minutes, action items list, weekly report, executive summary, etc.
- 5-7 years' experience as a Project Manager with medium to large scale, enterprise applications.
- Knowledge and experience with project management techniques included but not limited to creating WBSs, WBS dictionaries, RACI charts, scope baselines, communication plans, risk registers, quality management plans, and all components of a project management plan.
- Experience managing projects of enterprise application implementation in land development, building and permitting processes such as Accela software is a plus.
- Experience with a federal agency or county government is a plus.
- Strong ability to work in compliance with Project Management Office frameworks.
- Strong Microsoft Office and MS-Project skills.
- Excellent meeting facilitator, strong verbal, oral, and written communication skills.
