Accruent's Senior Project Manager will lead a number of domestic and international portfolio projects. The successful candidate must be able to lead, administer and support project management activities by establishing effective planning and control processes, governance, timelines and plans, action items, tracking program status, issues, and follow-up activities. The PM will work closely with the key stakeholders within our client organizations to plan and execute. They are responsible to monitor progress and motivate personnel to achieve project goals. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program management responsibilities involving the coordination of large-scale projects.
  • Spearheading development of new methodologies and process improvement.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to clients on Change Management.
  • Large-scale contract negotiation and creation, including scoping efforts, contract preparation, etc.
  • Overall accountability for the successful delivery of programs, from sales engagement with the services team through to project close.
  • Provides strong, yet collaborative leadership to teams comprised of the Company, client, our partners and other IT and business professionals.
  • Builds rapport with and among all project stakeholders and instills confidence in the ability to add value and meet program and project objectives.
  • Provides financial stewardship and achieves financial objectives of projects. 
  • Communicates effectively with customers and other stakeholders and actively seeks alignment with expectations on all aspects of project execution.
  • Responsible for all components of planning, executing and closing projects, with emphasis on Stakeholder Management, Project Planning & Scheduling, Status Reporting, Team Leadership,  Issue Identification & Resolution, Budget Tracking, Forecasting and Risk Management.
  • Participates in the development of a robust, repeatable Implementation Methodology.
  • Define and negotiate appropriate scope
    • Determine scope needed to deliver solution
    • Reconcile and negotiate scope with sales and customer
  • Successfully initiate projects internally and externally
    • Identify and secure required resources internally
    • Develop and communicate project plan
    • Lead kickoff and launch the project
  • Manage a number of ongoing projects within the Services organization
    • Plan, monitor and manage ongoing work
    • Provide quality assurance on all project deliverables
    • Communicate status to customers and stakeholders
    • Manage and negotiate ongoing delivery issues
  • Maintain Project Administration functions
    • Ensure project systems and artifacts are current
  • Contribute to Project Management and Delivery body of knowledge
    • Build or contribute to tools, techniques and methodology
  • Mentor
    • Responsible for mentoring and managing a team of Associate Project Managers and Project Managers

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6-10 years’ experience as a Project Manager leading business systems development, integration, and implementation projects, in a consulting environment.
  • Disciplined project management and leadership skills along with experience delivering solutions to large external clients.
  • Candidates are expected to have a working knowledge of technology and be comfortable in defining both business and technical delivery plans. Candidates must be able to understand, plan and manage all aspects of work needed to successfully adopt a solution, place into production and operationally transfer to the client.
  • Confidence in self and organization, and a ‘can-do’ attitude in the face of change and ambiguity.
  • Candidates must demonstrate experience in working all aspects of professional services delivery including:
    • Sales team engagement – pre- and post-sale
    • Project definition – pre- and post-sale
    • Project initiation - internal and external
    • Project execution and closeout – internal and external
  • In depth understanding of the end to end process used by companies to acquire, implement, deploy strategic software technology solutions.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work effectively with virtual teams of diverse background.
  • Experience building strong working relationships with partners, senior business and senior IT people.
  • Experience managing direct reports.
  • A client-focused mindset, delivering superior customer results and service.
  • Ability to work within multiple time zones and diverse cultures.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required – up to 30%
