We are seeking a seasoned professional with experience in program integrity and analytics who has substantive knowledge of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and related programs. The successful candidate will join our Human Services division to lead program integrity engagements for the Food and Nutrition Services of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and other clients. The following projects illustrate some of our recent work:
A study to quantify the extent of identity theft in SNAP by estimating the its prevalence and cost to the program
Simulations to estimate how changes in program polices will impact benefit costs, eligibility, and participation in SNAP
An analysis of State’s use of computer matching protocols to minimize fraud, waste, and abuse in SNAP and improve efficiencies.
Assessments of the effectiveness of State and local efforts to directly certify children for free school meals

Duties of the position
Engage with Food and Nutrition Service and other clients to understand the challenges they face and work collaboratively with them to develop innovative solutions
Direct teams and oversee all aspects of high quality project delivery
Direct business development efforts and proposals for new projects
Develop and design projects that address clients’ needs
Present to policy and professional audiences
Seven or more years of relevant professional experience in program integrity and analytics with federal agencies or state and local governments
Ph.D. or equivalent work experience in economics, public policy, sociology, demography, statistics, psychology, education, or related field
A demonstrated history of working collaboratively with federal agencies or state and local governments
Experience leading major engagements that focus on leveraging analytics to address issues of fraud, waste, and abuse
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including an ability to translate evidence for program and policy audiences
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-disciplinary teams
