Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Senior Program Accountant to become a member of our consulting team that provides financial, engineering, and transportation consulting to one of our largest Florida enterprise clients (one of the largest customer service providers in Florida). The Senior Program Accountant is responsible for daily monitoring and review of the client's revenue collection program, utilizing knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and auditing practices to provide feedback and recommendations for program improvement to the client CFO and staff.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Audit and review of daily and monthly reconciliations provided by revenue collection vendor
  • Develop analytical tools to track and interpret business metrics and analyze large data sets
  • Establish and execute client controls over revenue collection
  • Plan and direct audits of revenue collection operations
  • Present complex financial information to client senior financial team
  • Work with vendor to improve financial processes and systems, conduct needs assessments
  • Monitor vendor performance and key performance indicators

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • Active CPA license
  • 8+ years of relevant accounting and financial experience
  • 3+ years of audit or internal controls consulting with a public accounting firm
  • GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations experience and business interpretation analysis
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting large data sets
  • Experience presenting financial data and reporting to senior management
  • BA/BS + 4 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
