Senior Product Manager Are you a Cloud-native product manager? Do you think API first? Do you build DevOps-readiness into your cloud services? Oracle’s cloud services for infrastructure and platform are some of the fastest growing products in the company with start-up roots whose founder-chairman still runs product. As a product manager for Oracle Management Cloud, you’ll be driving the next generation of systems management solutions for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Autonomous Database. Candidates for this role should ideally have the following attributes:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering. MBA preferred.
  • At least 3 years of product management experience in Public Cloud Infrastructure services
  • Expertise in application or database monitoring, diagnostics and performance management
  • Fluency in technical aspects of virtualization, container technologies, networking, storage, and availability architectures helpful.
  • Experience and fluency in commercial (consumption or utility-based pricing models) and operational (DevOps diagnosabilty) aspects of cloud services.
  • Ability to build/demonstrate cloud services, communicate reference architectures, and troubleshoot basic issues.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, deploying and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure solutions to customers is highly desirable.
  • Ability to understand and articulate customer needs and deliver great products
  • A demonstrable track record of building products with exceptional user experiences
  • Mastery in developing mockups, wireframes, functional specifications, design documents, and user stories
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills when interacting with customers, cross-functional teams and senior management
  • Excellent organizational skills: task prioritization, time management, negotiation, conflict resolution, and risk mitigation.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
