As the Senior Product Manager you will contribute to the success of the marketing strategy of the assigned product families by:

  • Identifying opportunities of new products/suppliers in Asia, relevant to develop our Consumer home goods/ housewares in the USA
  • Developing the marketing strategy for assigned product ranges and associated assortment plan in harmony with strategic orientations, analysis of the markets, and needs/expectations of consumers
  • Developing new products or improve existing ranges, in collaboration with Asia location, the R&D department, and other departments
  • Interfacing with the local marketing teams (GS USA) to define and implement product strategies
  • Interfacing with Asia location and associated factories; Developing products consistent with brand identity and US customer requirements
  • Implementing defined strategies & support product launches
  • Creating and supporting point-of-sale (POS) marketing material, notes and packaging
  • Analyzing the competitive environment and update consumer data
  • Integrating principles of sustainable development and social responsibility in product development, vendor agreements, communications, etc

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, MBA preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of marketing and product development experience; in the housewares industry
  • Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a preferred plus, but not a requirement
  • Experienced in sourcing, within the Asian culture
  • Excellent knowledge of Power Point and Excel
  • Availability to travel (25% of time), mainly to Europe and Hong Kong
  • Ability to work with a 6-hour time difference with Europe and 12-13-hour time difference with Hong Kong
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Open and creative mind. Ability to think “out of the box”
  • Ability to work across functional, national, cultural boundaries in a matrix environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects within a structured and process-oriented environment
  • Capacity to understand the technical constraints of the projects
  • Experience in housewares durables, serve ware, Flatware, kitchen gadgets, kitchen appliances, cookware, food prep and pantry ware, kitchen organization etc
