Responsibilities:

  • Partner with CEO, Director of New Product Development, ecommerce and merchandising teams to establish the product roadmap
  • Develop deep subject matter expertise in Minted’s physical products and related website shopping functionality and experiences
  • Attend weekly New Product Development meetings across all categories to provide project updates, understand strategies that inform roadmap decisions, and provide input to new projects and ideas being considered
  • For approved roadmap projects, build detailed requirements for engineering that span all aspects of their development including product imagery, consumer experience, and fulfillment integrations
  • Build and manage cross-functional project plans that coordinate all work streams across Brand, Merchandise, Artist Relations, and Supply Chain to align with engineering project completion and enable ultimate launch of the product
  • Define and drive extensive end-to-end new product testing plan to be executed with help from QA team and key business stakeholders
  • Define, monitor, and report on key success metrics for engagement and uptake of newly launched products
  • Support, triage and prioritize bugs and production issues related to newly launched products



Desired Skills and Experience:

You will be successful in this role if you’re a strong leader who loves to work cross-functionally and has the following characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred
  • 4-6+ years of product management with a solid track record of developing and launching successful products
  • Technical skills: Demonstrated an understanding of technology/architecture and effective partnership with engineering to identify technical solutions based on tradeoffs of user experience, technical debt, latency, scalability, reliability, time to market etc.
  • Experience with eCommerce, retail, or merchandising a plus
  • Excellent product judgment: Ability to make sound judgements based on tradeoffs of different solutions, complex problems, various stakeholders, and many constraints
  • Creative and high-bandwidth problem-solving skills: Ability to define a course of action in the face of significant complexity and ambiguity
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively, create common knowledge, generate buy-in and influence stakeholders and senior management towards recommended decisions
  • Project management skills: Ability to plan, set expectations, make and meet commitments
  • Superb analytical skills: Ability to solve complex problems through analytics and data-driven approach to decision making
  • Strong leadership skills: Ability to balance and productively resolve contradictory demands and timelines in order to deliver against the company vision and goals
  • Focus on results-orientation: Proven capability to entirely own complex problems and deliver results regardless of impediments and resourcing
  • Strong Detail-orientation: Ability to identify and resolve edge cases as well as aesthetic and functional details in order to deliver a high-quality product experience
  • High Customer advocacy: Demonstrated understanding of and care for Minted customer through product development process
  • Intense commitment to quality: Demonstrated focus on quality of product/customer experience and testing/bugfixing until all pain points fade away
  • Fast twitch muscles: Thrives under pressure and working to aggressive timelines
