Bypass is looking for a Senior Product Manager who can own our strategy around development tools like our APIs and SDKs for both external and internal use. Bypass has unique approach to building systems that lends itself well to having a single set of development tools that can be used for our own software development as well as partner plugins.  

Bypass builds a physical commerce platform that encompasses Point-of-Sale functionality plus a set of features and functions that streamline management, help restaurants accelerate their revenue growth, and deliver new and enticing guest experiences. At Bypass we try tackle big problems in the simplest way possible and deliver those solutions to some of the largest merchants in the world.

In your Senior Product Management role, you’ll be challenged to build and maintain a cohesive set of development tools that will primarily enable external companies to develop features. You will need to be collaborative with other SPMs as well as other parts of the organization like sales and operations to ensure you are thinking ahead of the curve and developing a strategy that enables frictionless growth for our company and our partners.

You’ll report directly to the Chief Innovation Officer and will join an amazing team of product managers, designers, and engineers with a strong user focus and a commitment to lean and clean methodologies.



  • Establish both a vision, roadmap, and technical framework for executing our API / SDK strategy

  • Work with Senior Engineering Managers to lead a small team that will execute the strategy with you

  • Update and maintain documentation and make our products the “easiest to work with”

  • Develop partnerships with User Experience, Product Management and Engineering, and sales teams to ensure your are coordinating the development of features properly

  • Present your strategy to the CIO as well as other executives at regular intervals

  • Become an expert on other companies selling into our market to create strategy that gets ahead of the sales cycle

  • Work with the design team as needed to create workflows that enable partners to quickly integrate and deliver value to our customer base



  • At least 5 years of experience working on API or SDK tools

  • Proficiency in reading technical documentation and code

  • Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills

  • Familiar with Google Material Design concepts

  • Inspiring, open minded, hard-working, collaborative, and passionate

  • Some experience in payments, commerce, or point of sale applications

  • Not required but nice to have

    • BS degree in computer science

    • Experience developing software
