The Sr. Product Manager has responsibility for the management and coordination of new product setup, product lifecycle management, through the PLM tool, and product compliance based on market needs and requirements.
The Sr. Product Manager will act as the main line of product communication across functions to reduce siloed activities and conflicting priorities. This position serves as the focal point for product management and compliance activities and reports directly to the Director, Product Management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Lead a team of 4 people; coordinating the efforts of Product Management and Product Compliance to optimize service levels to key stakeholders.
•Support PLM/MSDgen activities; document, communicate and enforce standard processes
•Facilitate cross training and level loading of Product Management and Compliance activities.
•Facilitate communication between Product Technologies, Product Champions, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
•Supervise the NPR process; establish metrics to measure the effectiveness/efficiency to drive improvements.
•Coordinate the efforts of Product Champions to develop and maintain optimized product line focused on margin improvement.
•Facilitate discussions on sourcing/manufacturing options to better manage costs.
•Manage product allocations.
•Establish and enforce processes to maintain clean, accurate product data
•Manage product certifications/registrations and full disclosure processes
•Facilitate free trade agreement qualification process to ensure compliance
•Coordinate the management of Buy American and GSA to support compliance at government accounts

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
•Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field.
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Chemical Industry
•Demonstrated success in a management role
•Constantly required to sit and occasionally required to walk, stand, climb (includes stairs), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk, hear, and smell
•Constantly using hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, and computer keyboards.
•Routinely required to reach with hands and arms, squat, turn/twist, or reach, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
