Job Description

Provide technical support for Xilinx System-on-Chips. Interface directly with customers, field engineers and factory engineering groups to resolve complex technical issues enabling customers to proceed with their designs and improving Xilinx products along the way. Provide direct technical support to customers on critical design issues. Identify customer problems and propose appropriate solutions. Provide customers advice on alternative design techniques and the implementation of alternative solutions. Provide information and data on a variety of Xilinx products. Work on specific tactical projects for key design programs. Train customers on design techniques. Generate Application notes, Reference Designs and Answer Records.


Education Required: 
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field 
Alternate requirements:
Will also accept Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Design Engineer or related occupation
Special Requirements:    
Must have coursework or project background in the following:

  1. Embedded software design with C/C++ including device driver development for ARM based SOC’s.
  2. Building complete embedded systems design from schematic to functioning software.
  3. Build, debug, and deploy complete embedded Linux systems from source.
  4. Debugging tools experience with in-circuit emulators/debuggers and JTAG.
  5. Communication protocol experience with at least two of the following – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, TCP/ IP.
  6. RTOS and multi-thread experience.
  7. Revision control and bug tracking experience.
