Senior Procurement Manager Position:

The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the strategy of the supply chain, optimizing the supply chain and requires in depth experience with negotiating contracts with annual spend of $70-$100 million. The Senior Procurement Manager manages direct raw materials used in manufacturing finished products and direct raw materials. This includes managing supplier relationships and negotiating supply agreements to ensure company maintains a competitive manufacturing cost position. This position will have the opportunity to work on multiple sustainability projects that are key to the strategy of the business.

Responsibilities:

Develops and implements sourcing strategies across multiple business units for raw materials. Position works with > 50 suppliers, with annual spend of $70 -$100 million.

  • Lead/support the strategy of this spend along with continuous market analysis to ensure the highest performance and quality at the lowest cost including qualifying new suppliers, leading supply optimization design.
  • The Senior Commodity Manager must have a solid working command of contractlanguage and is able to write a contract, determine missing clauses and form the basis of strategic clauses that minimize risk to the businesses. Unique quality and performance challenges will occur with this supply base that requires creative contractlanguage to be formed in order to continuously maintain optimal support to the business.
  • Ensure uninterrupted and sustainable supply of raw materials to facilities and customers.
  • Develops, leads a global team to implement cost reduction projects within multi-functional teams: establishes scorecard metrics, supports initiatives for innovation, identifies alternate materials and suppliers and updates senior leadership.
  • The ideal candidate would have experience in hedging, statistical analysis, and effectively applies lean methodologies

Qualifications:

BA/BS College Degree (Business Administration/Supply Chain, Engineering or related field preferred)

  • Lead, Manage, Develop and implement supply chain strategies, optimization of the supply chain and supplier relationships for raw materials with annual spend of $70-100M (>50 suppliers)
  • A minimum of Seven to Ten (7-10) years' experience in product management, sourcing / commodity management
  • Must have a solid command in negotiation and a working command of contractlanguage and is able to write a contract, determine missing clauses and form the basis of strategic clauses that minimize risk to the businesses.
  • Negotiates Supply Agreements and develops Executive Summaries for review with the appropriate executive leadership team members for approval.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environment
